The materials and workmanship of the up-pipe i order were great. The welds were pretty and solid and everything seemed to be perfect….until i bolted it up and saw the pipes weren’t seated in the flanges properly before the welding happened. Which made it so it wasn’t at the correct angle and wouldn’t bolt up properly at all. One part of the flange was too far away and the other was way too close so it has a huge leak.

Cheap hardware with oversized 17mm nuts with sae threads. The nuts provided are too large to really fit in place like the standard 14mm nuts do as you tighten down the exhaust housing. The material used to make the uppipe is also very cheap - both threads on the uppipe and studs provided gave way after working on this customer’s car for the 2nd time. The first install was “ok” with a vf39. The 2nd install of an FP red totally destroyed the hardware. Keep in mind this is only 2 months after the initial install with less than 1600 miles on the uppipe. The thin pipe also had distorted over the short amount of time. My advice...Buy a genuine grimmspeed or the risk it on the v2. The version without the flex coupler is not good. Period...

My uppipe came fairly quick compared to other experiences I've had with companies. The welds look really solid and quality and I can't wait to hear it scream through the dump tube. Gonna be purchasing a set of the el headers to pair up with it and hopefully make good power with the setup. Thank you for the quick shipping and quality product.
